Consign, Sell or Donate?

Looking to declutter your wardrobe but not sure whether to consign, donate or sell? Find out more about our different options below.

Find out more:

1. Earn Money While Making a Difference

Unlike donating, consignment allows you to earn money from your pre-loved items. You’ll receive 50% of the sale price (minus fees, if applicable), or if you prefer, you can donate your share to charity, ensuring your items truly help those in need.

At RetroPanda, we price items fairly and affordably by researching the sold prices of similar items online, ensuring they reflect current market value rather than original retail price. While retail price is taken into consideration, our goal is to make pre-loved fashion accessible to everyone. This means pricing items at a level that balances affordability for buyers while still maximising the charitable impact of each sale.

Some pieces (that don't sell, with your permission) may also be selected for our Retro Savers Section, where clothing is priced as low as £1, helping those who might otherwise struggle to afford quality fashion.

2. Charities Can't Take Everything

Many charity shops lack space and are forced to discard donations that they cannot sell. By consigning, your items have a better chance of finding a new home rather than ending up in landfill.

3. Make Clothes Accessible to More People

Some charity shops price items too high for those in real need. Our consignment system ensures that unsold items can be added to our Retro Savers section for just £1, helping families afford quality clothing.

4. Reduce Waste & Help the Planet

Fast fashion is harming the environment. Selling and rehoming clothes through consignment extends their life cycle and reduces textile waste, making fashion more sustainable.

5. Only Quality Clothes Accepted

To maintain high standards, all items must be in great condition. Some brands tend to sell better than others, so we can help you decide what’s best to consign.

Under consignment, all brands are accepted.

Under consignment we don't accept baby clothes and only take children's clothing from age 2 upwards.

6. Flexible Payout Options

Your clothes will be kept for 6 months. You can choose to receive payments after each sale or as one bulk payment at the end of the 6-month period.

7. Unsold Items? No Problem!

If an item doesn’t sell, you have the option to take it back or add it to our Retro Savers section for just £1, helping local families access affordable clothing.

Sell to us instead...

If you’d rather sell your clothes outright instead of consigning, get in touch with us today to discuss direct purchasing options. Make the smarter choice—consign with us and turn your clothes into cash while making a positive impact!

We Buy Per Kg and Pay As Follows:

  • Higher End - £6.50 per kg
  • High Street - £3.50 per kg

Unfortunately, we don't accept the following brands: Shein, Temu, Primark/Atmosphere, BooHoo and low-end supermarket brands. These brands are accepted under consignment only. We also don't accept baby clothes and only take children's clothing from age 5 upwards.

Payment is made within 3-working days of the clothing being recieved and once all items have been checked. If items are stained, damaged, bobbled, have holes etc they will not be accepted.

Items can be dropped off, collected within 20 miles, or a pre-paid postage label can be sent to you - providing you can accurately weigh your package.
